Hala Sabbah (she / her)

Hala is a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) consultant who has lived in Dubai, Amman, Algiers & London. She holds a Masters Degree in International Relations from the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) and spent four years as a consultant in IBM Dubai. Hala has over 10 years of global experience working in diversity & inclusion and consulting across different NGOs and industries including public sector, healthcare, airlines and retail. She has extensive experience in working with youth, managing difficult dynamics and facilitating training and workshops on sensitive topics. She is passionate about community-building and is a big believer in safe spaces for dialogue as a step towards social change.

Hasan Kilani

Hasan is a writer, humanitarian professional, and diversity & inclusion specialist with a focus on the MENA region. He has extensive knowledge of refugee/migration crises and has worked with the International Rescue Committee. Hasan holds a MA in Transnational Queer Feminist Politics and a BA in Finance.

Iman, a Jordanian Mexican-American, is the Gender Lead at DOT Jordan. She has experience in qualitative education research and has supported research projects on public health, social work, and development. Iman is fluent in Arabic and English, with intermediate proficiency in Farsi.

Jehad is a consultant specializing in Middle Eastern history, politics, and society. With over a decade of experience, he excels in strategy development, DEI, and organizational capacity building. Jehad is completing his PhD at New York University and has served as Education and Policy Coordinator at the American Friends Service Committee.

Kristina is a Ph.D. candidate in social and cultural anthropology at KU Leuven, Belgium. She has experience in education and has contributed to multiple DEI projects in the SWANA region. Kristina is also the co-founder of Mixed Race Meditation Group, a safe space for mixed-race individuals to explore and heal from internalized oppression.

Musa is an Iraqi writer and researcher focusing on sexuality and the body. He is the founder of Cinamji, a queer feminist Arabic cinema initiative, and has published several books on sexuality in Arabic. Musa is an Arabic editor for MyKali, an online magazine that challenges gender binaries in the SWANA region.

Shadi excels in non-violent communication, intergenerational leadership, and DEI. Committed to bridging the gap between individual experiences and systemic change, she influences policy through her research and collaborative efforts.
